Dialektika participated in the international workshop Beyond the Headlines: Disinformation, Migration and Social Cohesion, held on May 10, 2026, at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland.
The event brought together participants from across Europe for a critical reflection on the links between disinformation, migration, and social cohesion.
Throughout the day, participants addressed, among other topics, the production and circulation of distorted narratives about migration, their political and media instrumentalization, and their effects on public perception, social inclusion, and trust in democratic institutions.
The workshop combined expert presentations, collective discussions, and practical approaches to media literacy, public communication, and developing responses to exclusionary discourses.

Dialektika’s participation in this space reflects the organization’s ongoing interest in the relationships between discourse, politics, culture, and the public sphere, as well as in the study of contemporary processes that affect democracy, the production of meaning, and life in common.
Such encounters also help strengthen networks of exchange, broaden comparative perspectives, and enrich the editorial, intellectual, and journalistic work of members of the organization across its platforms and projects.
The workshop was organized in the framework of the MigrationMedia(tor) project, funded by the European Union’s Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) program.
